We’re continuing to build the reputation of Victorian roads as some of the safest in the world. It’s our aim that everybody travelling on them reaches their destination, and enjoys the journey.
arrive alive 2008 – 2017 is the Victorian Government’s new 10 year road safety strategy. It’s designed to keep Victoria at the forefront of Australian and international efforts to reduce road trauma, to deliver further major improvements to our road transport system, and to improve safety for all Victorian road users.

From 1 July 2008, P1 probationary drivers are restricted to carrying one peer passenger
Carrying multiple passengers significantly increases the risk of a P plate driver being involved in a fatal crash.
